This notice covers the website tools.codewithkolin.com. Each released extension has its own policy: FakeCatchBaitCatchReplyFit.

Waitlists

If you join a waitlist we keep your email address, which product it was for, the date, and the country your request came from. We use it for one thing: a single email when that product launches. We do not add you to a newsletter, and we do not share or sell the list.

To be removed, email support@codewithkolin.com from that address, or ask us what we hold about you. The list is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site.

The “paste a review” demo

Text you paste into the demo is sent to our server and on to TypeSafe AI, whose model scores it, and the score is shown to you. Our server keeps the score for up to seven days, filed under a one-way fingerprint of the text, not the text itself. TypeSafe’s policy says it does not train its models on this input; it keeps it for as long as it considers reasonably necessary, and its service is hosted in the United States. Please do not paste anything private. To limit abuse we count tries per network address per day; that count records nothing about what was checked.

The reply generator demo

A post you paste into the reply generator, with the tone and length you pick, is sent to our server and on to Anthropic, whose model writes the reply, and to TypeSafe AI, whose model checks it. Neither may train its models on it; each keeps request data for a limited period to provide the service and prevent abuse, and both are hosted in the United States. Our server does not keep the post or the reply. To limit abuse it counts tries per network address per day, and your browser keeps a random id for the demo; neither records anything about what was written. Please do not paste anything private.

Visits

We count visits with Kolin HQ (stats.codewithkolin.com), our own analytics service, run by us on Cloudflare. It uses no cookies and keeps no lasting id: a visit is recognised for one day only, by a one-way hash of your network address and browser that changes daily, and the address itself is not stored. It records the page, the site that linked here, your country, browser and device type, and the actions on this page: an install button, a waitlist sign-up (not the address you typed), a demo run (not the text), a video started, a question opened, how far a page was read. We use it to see which pages help and what to build next. It is not shared or sold, and it is not used for advertising.

What this site does not do

No advertising, no third-party trackers, no social media pixels, no fonts or scripts loaded from other companies (the visit counter above is our own). The light or dark theme you choose, and the reply demo's random id, are remembered in your own browser.
